[-] About us

Al Caddia is a dystopian sci-fi comic set in a post-collapse world where humanity survives under a system governed by alien beings called Ankromatas. At the center of this story are the Proxies, synthetically engineered operatives designed to resist the Devourer’s cellular corruption and operate within newly mapped corrupted zones.

Earth did not fall to war, but to the Devourer, an extraterrestrial parasitic entity that arrived within a meteor shower. Its cells infected and rewrote all life they touched, mutating ecosystems into violent Corrupted Beings. As contamination spread, even soil and stone were converted into living organic masses, turning continents into unstable, predatory terrain.

In response, the Ankromatas, non-terrestrial beings known as Principals, aligned with humanity and established the cities to resist planetary assimilation. Before collapse became inevitable, they created the Genetic Archives within the Main Core, preserving Earth’s DNA for a future Restoration Sequence. From their technologies emerged the Proxies, bio-engineered operatives resistant to corruption, designed to explore, fight, and die repeatedly in hostile zones. Now, proxy units carries critical data that may halt the Devourer, racing across living wastelands to reach the Main Core before the planet consumes them whole.

The Cities

The so-called “cities” constructed by Ankromata are not conventional urban environments, but strategic macro-structures function simultaneously as defensive fortifications against Devourer incursions, research hubs for anti-Devourer countermeasures, and manufacturing nodes capable of producing additional Ankromacell units. Most remaining cities are now hollow shells of their former selves, kept alive by failing autonomous systems or administrators struggling to maintain stability.

Neb Vehra

The City on the Brink

Once a thriving, Neb Vehra is now a starving city slowly losing power, resources, and governance. Its administrator, Diarge, abandoned the city after exhausting all remaining options, choosing instead to accompany Zeke’s convoy. With her departure, Neb Vehra survives in a state of fragile limbo, still resisting, but slowly being strangled by encroaching fleshlands and the exhaustion of its remaining resources.

Kav Solarith

The Skyward Tomb

Among the fallen cities, Kav Solarith is one of the most tragic and awe-inspiring remnants, a symbol of the unstoppable hunger rising from below. Before the Devourer’s spread, Kav Solarith was the world’s highest vertical settlement, a self-contained mega-building rising through the clouds.

Nil Gurus

The Green Breath of a Dying World

Among the few cities that still function in the age of the Devourer, Nil Gurus stands as a rare miracle, a city where life still grows, green and uncorrupted. While most cities have been swallowed by flesh or reduced to wandering enclaves, Nil Gurus remains stable, protected, and alive. This city is home to several Green Zones, carefully maintained vegetated districts where plants still grow freely under strict monitoring.

Al Caddia

The Abyssal City

Al Caddia was the city where the Bridge is installed and the birthplace of the earliest Residents and Proxies. When the Devourer’s rise accelerated beyond containment, the city suffered a catastrophic breach. The structures collapsed into the ocean trench beneath it.Now referred to as the Abyssal City, Al Caddia lies submerged at the bottom of a lightless sea, entombed by layers of hardened flesh. The surrounding waters are thick with mutated marine organisms, making any approach impossible. Despite the devastation, the city itself remains eerily intact, sealed, unreachable, and invisible to all known scanners, as if the Devourer itself protects it.

Zeke

Zeke is a combat-class proxy originating from Al Caddia, deployed to escort and safeguard critical data. Designed for frontline operations, Zeke has endured numerous operational failures resulting in repeated cycles of death and restoration. These cycles have stripped away any illusion of heroism, leaving behind an operative defined by efficiency, restraint, and survival driven logic.

Diarge

Diarge formerly served as the administrator of Neb Vehra. After the city’s resources were depleted, she abandoned her post and joined Zeke’s group on their journey toward Al Caddia. She is committed to assisting Zeke in delivering vital data to Irzuhud, the authority overseeing the Bridge.

Adriana

Adriana is a proxy originated from Al Caddia and the younger sister of Zeke from different father. With a more relaxed and grounded personality, she serves as a balancing presence to her stoic brother, reminding him of their shared humanity and familial bond. Although her appearance in the current timeline is brief, she is expected to play a significant role in future events.

Aulnoch

Aulnoch is an enigmatic Ankromata who defected from his original purpose after witnessing the Devourer firsthand. Since his deviation, he has acted in direct opposition to the intended function of the Ankromata and is responsible for the downfall of several major cities, including Al Caddia and Gan Lahaad.

Esthur

Esthur governs Nil Gurus and possesses a deep curiosity toward human behavior. To improve resident comfort, he developed and maintains extensive green zones within the city. His projects include the restoration of endemic fauna, providing the inhabitants with an environment reminiscent of Earth prior to the emergence of the Devourer cells.

Glauzasca

Glauzasca is recognized as the strongest Sentinel in Nil Gurus. Through years of relentless defense against continuous horde assaults, he has earned the admiration of the city’s residents. Due to his massive physical frame, he spends most of his time stationed within the hangar and typically communicates through indirect channels.
